I am
pleased to present you with this immensely valuable collection of the several
schemes through which the Government of India provides assistance for socio
-economic development activities of the Civil Society Organizations across
the country.
As a
Social & Human Rights Activist I reached out to various civil society
organizations over the country, extensively through one-to-one and meetings
where the representatives of several civil society organizations opened their
hearts before me. Often, to my utter surprise, I found that most of the civil
society organizations did not know what the Government of India was doing for
them. Lack of proper information they were faced with social and economic
problems, the solutions to which had already been provided for by several
schemes being implemented by the various ministries and organisations under
the Government of India.
